This dataset provides year wise, state wise, and district wise statistics on the total number of Special and Local Laws (SLL) crimes reported in India. It provides district-level totals across various SLL offences, including crimes under Arms, Explosives, NDPS, POCSO, Dowry Prohibition, Information Technology, Motor Vehicles, SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities), Wildlife Protection, Railways, Gambling, Excise and Prohibition laws, and other Special and Local Laws. The source contains various crime reporting units including City Police Units, Cyber Police Units, Districts, Police Commissionerates, Railway Police, Rural Police Units, Specialized Police Units, and Others, which have been categorised using the unit_type field. The dataset enables comparison of the overall volume of SLL crimes across districts and states.
