NCRB - District Wise Crime Data: Year, State and District wise Total IPC/BNS Crimes
This dataset provides year wise, state wise, and district wise statistics on the total number of IPC/BNS crimes reported in India. It provides district-level totals across major offence groups including crimes against the human body, property offences, crimes against women and children, offences against public tranquillity, offences against the State, economic and document related crimes, and other IPC/BNS offences. The source contains various crime reporting units including City Police Units, Cyber Police Units, Districts, Police Commissionerates, Railway Police, Rural Police Units, Specialized Police Units, and Others, which have been categorised using the unit_type field. The dataset enables comparison of the overall volume and distribution of IPC/BNS crimes across districts and states.
