NCRB - District Wise Crime Data: Year, State and District wise Missing Persons by Age and Gender

This dataset provides year wise, state wise, and district wise statistics on missing persons in India, with details by age group and gender. It covers missing persons across different age categories, including below 12 years, 12 to 16 years, 16 to 18 years, and 18 years and above, with separate figures for male and female persons. The source contains various crime reporting units including City Police Units, Cyber Police Units, Districts, Police Commissionerates, Railway Police, Rural Police Units, Specialized Police Units, and Others, which have been categorised using the unit_type field. The dataset enables analysis of missing person patterns across districts, states, age groups, gender, and different types of police and crime reporting units.

Note: For 2018 and 2019, the district-wise totals do not reconcile with the corresponding state-wise totals in the published NCRB source. The discrepancy is present in the source data and has been carried through unchanged.
