NCRB - District Wise Crime Data: Year, State and District wise Crimes against Children by Crime Head
This dataset provides year wise, state wise, and district wise statistics on crimes against children in India by crime head. It covers major categories of offences against children, including kidnapping and abduction, murder, rape, sexual offences, assault, trafficking, cruelty, child marriage, child labour, and other crimes against children, with details by gender. The source contains various crime reporting units including City Police Units, Cyber Police Units, Districts, Police Commissionerates, Railway Police, Rural Police Units, Specialized Police Units, and Others, which have been categorised using the unit_type field. The dataset enables analysis of crimes against children across crime heads, districts, states, gender, and different types of police and crime reporting units.
Note: For 2014 and 2015, the district-wise totals do not reconcile with the corresponding state-wise totals in the published NCRB source. The discrepancy is present in the source data and has been carried through unchanged.
